I interrupt this Giveaway event for a Regular Post

I have to vent. I went shopping yesterday (all day) and there were a few things that really bothered me. I would love to hear your input on these questions.

Since When...
Was it okay for teenagers to talk to their elders in such a horribly disrespectful way?
There was a girl in the stall next to me in the changing room just downright being horrible to her grandparents. They were there helping her shop/buy a dress for an upcoming school dance butu she was angry because they kept reminding her that the dress couldn't be above her knees. (no I don't usually eavesdrop but it's kinda hard when your in a fitting room lol). I couldn't believe the way she was talking back to them! I wanted to say something so bad, but I know it was not my place. Grr.

Since When...
Was it okay to pee in a public toilet and not flush?!
This ones pretty self explanatory, eww!

Since When...
Was it okay to leave your young child at the food court counter while you run to the bathroom?
My mom always made us stand at the end of the stall where see could see our feet! Maybe she was a bit overprotective...but c'mon there are lots of crazies out there!

Since When...
Did I start shopping in the Misses department instead of the juniors?
I've actually started agreeing with my moms clothing choices instead of making that disgusted "are you serious" look when she points out clothing to me. I always wondered when this day would come. Well it's now here!

Thanks for letting me vent. You guys rock <3

The not flushing gets me every time. How hard it is to pull or oush that little knob.

If I was the grandparents I would just walk out and get her nothing. She needs little lesson in behaviour.

I would never, never leave my child unattended while I go to the bathroom. What was she thinking?

I tell you since when it was ok to talk to your parents/guardians like that.... since parents stop "knocking their kids teeth down their throat" Not really but my mom used to whoop my butt anytime I was disrespectful the least little bit. She always said that tho... if you dont change ur attitude im gonna knock your teeth down ur throat! Lol a little extreme, but hey I was a very well behaved child!...
(& to the ppl reading my comment that think spanking is wrong--- you have a right to ur opinion but please dont start a parenting bashing on this lovely lady's blog*) MUAH!

Before I had my son, I used to coach swim team and I was amazed at what kids would say to me or how they would say it. I considered talking to their parents, but they talked worse to their parents! Too many parents try to be their kids' friends or just make empty threats.
My nephews usually have no rules, but they know not to mess with Aunt Sarah. I make them tow the line and "no" means no. My sister-in-law or mother-in-law will clean up their messes. Aunt Sarah makes them clean it up. If my 17 month old can help clean up, then so can a 3 and 5 year old! The biggest problem is caused by lack of rules, consistancy and follow through! Just my opinions though... :o)

I agree and have been thinking some of the same things myself lately. Kids wondering all over the mall - ALONE! No way my kids will be doing that. Thanks for stopping by my blog! I'm now a follower!

Ooh, I have a worse one than not flushing ... since when was it ok to use the only toilet in a building (library) AND NOT LOCK THE DOOR?

My eyes will never be the same again, and every night I travel to a scary place in my sleep.

SERIOUSLY!! Since when for sure!! The disrespect thing always bugs me, and it seems to be getting worse. It's so sad!
And leaving your kid anywhere these days is NOT ok!! There are crazies out there and I think anyone who leaves their kid alone is just asking for something to happen!!

Trust me we have all heard the ranting of some child to their parents or grandparents and wanted to snatch them up where they stood and put them in check. Once I did butt in and say something, only to have the mother start fussing at me. I vowed never to do it again, I figured if the guardian allows them to speak to them that way, they must enjoy it. I wish my boys would ever... they wouldn't have a tongue when they were finished.

I HATE hearing teens and even young children treat their parents and other adults with such disrespect. I do like watching a show on MTV called World's Strictest Parents. A week with these parents elicits quite a transformation.

Oh, and I hate it when people don't wash their hands after going to the bathroom in a public place!

And I find my self shopping in the womens section because all the juniors clothes are so....young!

Being a public school teacher i see a lot of these problems plus more you wouldn't even believe and like you other readers said...only so much blame can be put on the kids honestly! I hate to give them an excuse but the root of the problem 95% of the time is the parents allowing the behavior!

btw I have something for you on my blog! (aw--cough---ard)

Oh gosh, I cannot believe someone would leave their child unattended at a mall! How old was the child? You can never be too safe these days.
