I'm very pleased to introduce you to a Michigan based cloth diapering company! Hooray for locals! I had a fabulous experience working with the owner to pick out the perfect diaper for us to review. She was extra patient with me while we scanned the numerous amounts of cloth diapers located on her page. It's really hard waiting around for fluffy mail, I was so pleased to not have to sit around and wait for this one. Now, about the diaper. I've not reviewed any of the Monkey doodlez products in the past and was super excited to finally try one out. I really loved the extra wide velcro tabs and of course the blue dot print was sooo very cute. I'm not usually a fan of diapers with sewn in inserts but is seems the absorption is always better this way. If the thickness is unable to move around, like with an outside insert, the pee usually doesn't go where it's supposed to and urine ends up leaking out. SO in that aspect I loved the Monkey Doodlez. The fit was very slim and we had no problems with bulkiness. I used one of our diaper liners for LL's duties and had no problem with clean up or staining. The dry time took an extra cycle which is expected with a sewn in soaker pad. This time instead of putting it back in the drier a second time I just layed it out over LL's changing table with his air purifier blowing on it and the diaper dried overnight. Simple enough, I wish I would have thought of this before! Big D didn't think the polka dots were very manly, but he loved that this diaper was Velcro and no snapage was required!
