Reviews!

I want to start reviewing products! So I've decided to start out with the products that I already own! My most current obsession has been with baby wearing. When we registered for our first child (a year ago) we really had no clue about..well anything. We went to the baby carrier isle in our local babies r us and decided upon one of the more expensive front carriers made by Chicco. Sad to say that was not our best decision. Little L wore it once and then decided he really wasn't too comfy. It wasn't until I stumbled across other types of sling wraps on craigslist that I realized what I was really missing out on! After a lot of thought and research we decided to try out a Maya wrap baby sling. We LOVE it! Not only did it fit so snuggly and well but it had tons of options for how to position our little one. When he is too cranky to sit in the cart while shopping he has no problem being worn in his Maya wrap, and will usually fall asleep while we're out and about. What mom could ask for more! My next goal is to try a baby hawk mei tai...someday!!

Blueberry Diapers

We have had a fun yet exhausting journey through the cloth diapering world. My friends and family still think I'm crazy! I love it though, almost to the point that it's become an obsession. I bought most of my first stash off of craigslist from a town that's about an hour away from our home. These people use cloth religiously...someday I hope to talk enough people into it around here to say the same about my own town. After trying out TONS of different types of diapers we finally chose the Blueberry AIO's. I am in love. They are so great, I just pair them up with a sustainable babyish wool cover at night and we are good to go! After washing my diapers in the wrong type of detergent the first time (unknowingly) I really wanted to be picky this time. I am considering trying Soap Nuts...they sound the best. We'll see though. Now if I could just talk daddy into loving cloth as much as I do... :-)

Hello There!
Welcome to my Blog. There is so much to life's journey and all of the in betweens of everything, and everyone you love. Hence the name of my blog, Loves Journey. Simple things in life can become not so simple anymore with the arrival of a new little one into your life. My hope is to help any mommy or daddy out there with any and all advice I have, and hopefully along the way learn a lot from them too! I have a little guy who is about to turn 1. We have trial and errored through many things (including cloth diapers) and I hope to share some of this to benefit others. I am also very passionate about becoming, being, and staying green.
