Exhausted

Do the Holidays have anyone else completely tanked? I am exhausted...utterly exhausted. I really shouldn't be though, the holiday/family festivities haven't even started. Oh dear. I am however very excited because we won a Wii from Little L's chiropractors office today. Now if I could just get the energy to play it...

ENDED --Blush Topless Undershirt Review and Giveaway

I am always looking for something to wear under each of my shirts. I usually end up putting on one of big D's "Belly Huggers." I really hate the name wife beater so we started calling them that instead. It's really not that appealing to wear them, but it got the job done. I was constantly pulling my shirts down due to the riding up that was caused by the belly hugger. The other day I came across a site that created, in my opinion, one of the best clothing accessories any girl could ask for! The Blush topless undershirt. It felt so soft and silky against my skin, nothing like the rigged lined cotton belly huggers. It came just in time to test out at a Christmas party, and I had to share the news with every woman there, and I must say they were all very impressed by my find. It fit great, looked great, and felt great all day long...no pulling down of my shirts needed. Needless to say I am headed back to purchase more in different colors!

Straight from the Source:

Blush Accessories welcomes you to a product that helps adjust the clothes you already have to fit you perfectly. This is a shirt that is to be worn like a tube top, but around the waist. Our product is made of a poly/rayon/spandex blend, allowing a huge amount of stretch and great support.
FOR EVERYONE If you love the look of layering without adding the extra bulk and straps, this is a product for you. Unlike a tank top or long shirt, it does not have straps which cause your undershirt to constantly ride up. It stays put without having to always readjust. Without straps, you are not limited to where the length of your shirt falls. You can adjust to any length, whether you want it to go just over the top of your pants or all the way down to your thigh. For all your favorite shirts that have shrunk in the dryer….don't throw them away! Just add a {topless undershirt} and you still have the length of the shirt you bought it as.
FOR MATERNITY As our bodies change, it is nice to have an accessory the helps our clothes adapt to our ever-changing shape. Keep the wardrobe you already have and use the {topless undershirt} to help cover your belly as your shirts start to ride up. If you are at the stage where you are unbuttoning the top of your pants, use the undershirt single layered or doubled over to help hold them up and hide your exposure! This way you can wear the jeans you already have before having to wear maternity ones. If you are planning to nurse, continue to wear the undershirt so you can lift your shirt without exposing your tummy and back. This product helps add extra support and add a variety of outfits to your wardrobe.
Most of all, we love the colors and style it adds to any outfit. The soft blend of fabric makes the undershirt so comfortable, you can't even tell it is there. And no worries...with the tapered shape and spandex blend, the garment stays put and it will not fall. You will love this product just as much as us...ENJOY!

Baby Rock Apparel Review and coupon code

We love to be different. Plain and simple, I love something new and exciting to spice up my life a little. Part of that includes Little L's wardrobe. When I came across the rockin' website Baby Rock Apparel I spent all night browsing through their many clothing and accessory collections! With pacifiers that say things like "Little Monster" and "Bad to the Bone" little shoes with pirate skulls or rockin' guitars  it was love at first sight.

I was stoked to be able to review a product and to top things off I also get a coupon code to share with my readers! Bonus! We received the black onesie entitled "Boob Man." If you know Little L then you know that this was the most fitting onesie for his personality! He is, and I am afraid always will be, a true Boob Man. We've weaned for a good 3 months now and he still points out to everyone his mommy's boom booms. The onesie was great, super soft and made of a great heavy duty material. Nothing like any other onesie we own. I paired it with some homemade pirate skull leggings, look at how cute the picture turned out! I can't even count the number of comments the onesie got while we were out and about in it. Of course Big D thought it was the greatest thing ever, he is all about me finding a matching one for him. Snaps at the bottom and all...just kidding, that would be pretty funny though! If you have a little guy you should check out the "Tinkle Tube" this is definitely on my wish list for when Little L starts potty training. You have to check it out, what a great idea! This store is now at the top of my list and I will be purchasing from here all the time!

Santa Comparisons

I can't believe how much Little L has changed in just one year! We went to see Santa  yesterday and I dug out his photo with Santa last year to compare. Amazing how much they change isn't it?! Oh, and just an FYI I am not one of those mean mommies that makes my little guy cry on Santa's lap, I swear they were the best of friends until the camera lady freaked him out with her ringing bells...then it became just too much! I'm still using it as our Christmas cards though...with a nice little caption of "May you find Peace in your homes this Holiday season..." hehehe!

Super Cute Shot

We got Little L's pictures done for his first birthday and they turned out great! I love being different, especially when it comes to Little L. I decided to have our pictures done in a "grunge" type setting. We live about an hour from Ann Arbor, MI and it happens to be the most artistic town I've ever been to. I love it there! These shots were taken down graffiti alley and really added to our photo session! I wanted to give a shout out to the amazing photographer Carrie Lee, if you're from the lower Michigan area check out her website if you like what you see, or just check it out because you're curious! Who knows maybe she'll make a special trip out of state if the price is right! haha. Enjoy!

ENDED--Happy Green Bee Review/Giveaway

Happy Green Bee
Safe and sustainable, soft and stretchy, super-silly, simply sensational styles!
Happygreenbee has a simple philosophy: clothing that is comfortable, colorful, playful and ecologically responsible. "We created Happy Green Bee so that a child can be a child, first and foremost," Quimby explains. "By using organic cotton, a comfortable and practical fabric, and simple bee-striped patterns, children feel as comfortable as they look while their parents take a small step in making a big difference in the environment their children live in."

Not aware of why organic is so important? Check out their reasonings on their website.

We were lucky enough to try the radish/bean cardigan, just in time for holiday photos! As soon as I opened the package and pulled the cardigan out I was thrilled to try it on Little L, it was so soft and cute! There truly is nothing else like it in his closet! When reviewing clothing I like to take it for a "test" run. Meaning I take him out and about to see if others compliment or make any comments about the clothing to me. The timing was perfect because I was heading out to do some Christmas shopping and I was shocked by how many people stopped us in the grocery store, toy store, department stores. They all wanted to know where I bought such a cute festive sweater, of course it only added to the charm when they found out it was organic.

Stocked daily on their site are loads of super cute gender neutral tops, bottoms, sportswear, dresses, and even gift sets. Some of their newly listed items include reversible hoodies,  solid color leggings, and mom's on the go kit. The kit contains a 4 oz. non-toxic, biodegradable eco friendly laundry detergent, a 2 oz. home-made diaper ointment formulated with organically grown comfrey, vitamin E, lavender, and a blend of botanical oils, a 2 oz. sample size of calendula oil made from organically grown calendula flowers and botanical oils, a 4 oz. herbal room spray which uses all natural essential oils, a keepsake tooth fairy tin and everything you need to plant your child’s birthday apple tree! What a great gift or a new/expecting mommy!

You have to check out their factory store on their website filled with AmAzInG deals that you wont find anywhere else for organic clothing.

Aurora’s YooHoo & Friends Review and Giveaway-- ENDED

I was browsing holiday gift ideas when I came across the cutest little stuffed animals! I was really excited to find out they would send me a few products to review and giveaway.
Aurora’s YooHoo & Friends are the company’s number one selling plush animal. With big eyes and long fluffy tails, the loveable plush YooHoo & Friends include the Sugar Glider, Panda, Penguin and Lesser Panda and all make a unique, funny sound when squeezed. Most recently, Aurora debuted a line of four WannaBes which include YooHoo & Friends dressed as other popular animals. Parents don’t have to worry about activation codes for the free, interactive YooHoo & Friends web site, geared to children ages five to 12 years old. Web site users can play games, download wallpapers, calendars and icons, watch previews for the upcoming YooHoo animations as well as adopt and raise YooHoo & Friends. Families are encouraged to learn more about the YooHoo & Friends characters that are based on endangered animals in their natural habitats from all over the world. The YooHoo & Friends story is set in a forest called Yootopia, featuring the Tree of Life.² Kids join YooHoo & Friends on magical journeys as they travel around the world to find the lost seeds from the Tree of Life. Each story will also encourage parents and their children to value friendship, harmony, honesty and courage.

Little L's Take on his new furry little friends: We received a couple different animals to review, as well as a CD that showcased the YooHoo story. Little L doesn't usually show much interest in stuffed animals, but these were so soft that he kept putting it against his cheek or he'd make the tail tickle his face. He really liked the  YOO HOO WANNA BE MONKEY  he would take it with him to play his piano or kick his ball around. He officially found a new buddy! The little keychain YooHoo kept his interest really well in the car, which is a tough task. I also had my 7 year old niece try them out and surprisingly she too enjoyed the furry little guys! She instantly created some big forest scenario where each YooHoo animal lived and played together. Once I took her online to play the games at the web-site she was completely sold! These are perfect little stocking stuffers or even birthday presents!

You are sure to find something you like.

Happy December

Wow, can you believe it is here! It feels like the year has gone by far too quickly. I am guessing this is common with those that have children. They grow far too fast. We just had Little L's first real illness, well first Tummy Bug, and boy did it catch me off guard. I am still convinced that a lot of it has to do with teething. Poor little guy has all four of his eye teeth trying to break through. I thought we were on the up and up today considering his fever was gone, and he stopped pooping 20 times a day, but I was wrong. There I was scrambling to get everything purchased and ready for a baby shower I am hosting this Saturday and the little man takes a turn for the worst. He spits up while I am in line at the store, with about 20 million shoppers in line behind us (with only two cashiers, of course). I was writing a check, because I forgot to hit up the bank...again, so my hands were full and there's little L, spit up and all, trying to squirm his way out of the sling after targeting the balloons up above the cashiers head. Repeating "Boon,Boon" to anyone that would listen. Thank goodness he didn't full on spew over everything, although I did chuckle a little at the thought! Funny now. Not then. We finally got outta that store and headed on to the next 3. He pretty much either slept in his sling, or complained the entire time. I knew his teeth were bothering him again because this was definitely not my sweet little man giving mommy a hard time while out shopping, he loves shopping! Even as we walked into the house he was whining, I put him down to get all of my things put away and he just clung to my leg pulling away trying to get me to pick him up, you'd think he'd get tired of me! When I had finished I finally picked him up and noticed he was a bit foul smelling so I proceeded straight to his changing table. Low and behold it was just a few sniffs later that I suspected this was no normal poo. I looked on my arms and sure enough there was green. Oh. My. Lanta. His sock was yucky, his pants, and oh boy was his G-diaper ever so drenched in (Bananas, rice, applesauce, and toast). Yes, he is on the B.R.A.T. diet. The doc failed to tell me that this diet would lead to explosive diapers, or maybe I'm just lucky to have a kid that likes to make his daddy proud. Exhausting! Yet now that I read it...funny. He is now sound asleep and here I am blogging about my poor little guys belly issues haha. I think it's just nice to let other mommies that have gone/ will go through this, know that they are not alone. Happy December everyone, hope yours hasn't been as "stinky" as mine so far!

Here's a pic of the stinker on Turkey Day at Nana's :-)
